ABC of Dementia-Free Workshop

Free Alzheimer’s and Dementia Awareness and Care-Giving Workshop.

Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, located at 6 Roosevelt Blvd. in Beverly Hills, will host a free Alzheimer’s and dementia awareness and care-giving workshop from 1 to 3:00 p.m. on April 22, 2016. The workshop is open to the public.

Entitled “ABC of Dementia,” the workshop will define Alzheimer’s and dementia, explain how dementia affects its victims, discuss ways to interpret dementia behaviors for better communication and results, and offer tips for becoming a more effective and less stressed caregiver. In addition, there will be a presentation by the Memory Enhancement Center of America about treatment, including clinical trials.
Workshop attendees will each receive a handbook and a wallet card certifying their attendance and training as “Dementia-Friendly.”
