ABC Dementia Workshop–Free
Free Alzheimer’s and dementia awareness and care-giving workshop set for November 19
The St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, located at 6150 Lecanto Highway in Beverly Hills, will host a free Alzheimer’s and dementia awareness and care-giving workshop from 4 to 5:30 p.m. on November 19, 2015. The workshop is open to the public.
Entitled “ABC of Dementia,” the workshop will define Alzheimer’s and dementia, explain how dementia affects its victims, discuss ways to interpret dementia behaviors for better communication, and offer tips for becoming a more effective and less stressed caregiver.
Workshop attendees will each receive a handbook and a wallet card certifying their attendance and training as “Dementia-Friendly.”
